Guided by Maria Montessori’s philosophy and methodology, we nurture your child’s natural curiosity by encouraging their independence. Independence fosters confidence, which is a foundation for academic and social-emotional success. A confident child is empowered with the self-esteem to engage in individual and in group activities.
Children are guided through self and teacher initiated experiences to develop and enrich their unique learning style. Through the practice of grace and courtesy, we build practical life skills that enhance a child’s ability for creative thinking and flexible problem solving.
There are two Montessori teachers and twelve children in a class session. We believe the small class size offers us the opportunity to provide individual attention for each child, as well as, inter-active group activities. In this way, we create a community for the children.
To meet the needs of our parents, we offer half-day morning and afternoon programs and a full-day program. All programs are five days a week. There is a two day phase-in when school begins in September. The phase-in allows for a calm, peaceful beginning.
