Parent Testimonials

My daughter and son thrived at this wonderful Montessori in Brooklyn, and we are incredibly grateful for the guidance of Ms. Barbara and her incredible team. Ms. Barbara has an extraordinary ability to identify each child's unique strengths and areas for growth, nurturing both their confidence and independence. Under her instruction, our children developed a love of learning and became more adaptable and resilient, gaining the skills and self-assurance they needed to excel. Thanks to Ms. Barbara, they are more than well-prepared for kindergarten and beyond. We can't recommend this little school enough for anyone seeking a supportive, enriching environment for their child.

Our son August attended EAM for 18 months from 2023 to 2024, and we were continually amazed by his growth during that time. His language and social skills advanced significantly, and he even mastered practical tasks like putting on his shoes and jacket. August was always excited to go to EAM and he loved sharing the songs he learned, especially the oldies, along with his ABCs, months, and days of the week. We were especially impressed by the individualized attention each child receives and Ms. Barbara's enthusiastic commitment to their learning and development. We had such a great experience, that we're enrolling our youngest next year.

My three-year-old daughter has attended Elemental Arts for about four months now, and I'm blown away by how much she's progressed in that time. She is taking responsibility for her own needs in a way that feels new and exciting, from preparing her own snacks, to putting on her coat and shoes, to personal grooming. She is also learning how to be kind to others, and how to set boundaries. Barbara is a wonderful guide and cheerleader through it all - I'm so glad we found EAM.

My daughter and son both spent considerable time at Elemental Arts Montessori. Barbara and her co-teachers are truly devoted to their craft. They offered my children a supportive and nurturing environment that positioned them well for their transition to later schooling. Barbara maintains detailed notes and observations of each child that she regularly shares with parents in an effort to collaboratively help children develop. We were also fortunate to be at EAM in early 2020 and were impressed by Barbara's ability to adapt to an unforeseen pandemic and to new requirements of schooling with careful attention to both the childrens' needs and to safety requirements. We wholeheartedly recommend this school without reservation.

Barbara was a God sent for us - at a time when we were coming out of the pandemic, we really struggled to find a suitable childcare option for our 2.5-year-old. Montessori is something we practiced at home since birth and to have found Barbara was amazing. During our initial tour, my otherwise shy and reserved child took to her immediately. Seeing how comfortable he was with her solidified our decision to have him attend and it remains the best decision and investment we have made. She soon became a pillar of strength and truly helped our family with our son who attended until he aged out. By the time he left, he was more than ready for kindergarten (of course, he didn't need to be). Barbara was professional, kind, caring, and overall an amazing human being. We would love for our younger son to attend her school once he is of age. Strongly recommend Elemental Arts Montessori!

My partner and I have been absolutely delighted by the massive leaps we've seen our 2.5-year-old make in the half year she's been at Elemental Arts Montessori, and I cannot wait to see how she continues to grow through the rest of this year and the coming years at EAM. The most significant change I've witnessed is (I've come to learn) a key of Montessori education: independence! For example, she's now strikingly self-sufficient and confident in taking on/off shoes and putting her toys away after she plays with them. She has really taken to the structure of her half-day at EAM and comes home singing new songs and excited to return to school the next day.

I enrolled my twin daughters at Elemental Arts Montessori when they were 3 years old. At the time, they were almost non-verbal and adjusting to life as bilingual learners. It was their first year of school, and Mrs. Barbara played an invaluable role in their speech development. Now, at 4 years old and in their second year at the school, my daughters have made remarkable progress-not just in their language skills, but also in social interactions, education, and overall learning. Mrs. Barbara's expertise, patience, and years of experience have been a true blessing for our family. We are incredibly grateful to have her as their teacher and to be part of the Elemental Arts Montessori community.
